Daniel Woods Cross was founded in 1848 and named after Daniel Wood, one of the first settlers. He built the first school and church in the town.
Woods Cross is a small town of just over 11,000 people in just under 4 square miles tucked between North Salt Lake and Bountiful.
Woods Cross is home to the Woods Cross High Wildcats. The city also has two elementary schools, one junior high, a private school and a charter school.
If you live in Woods Cross, you enjoy several parks in the area, Hogan Memorial Park being a favorite. This park is next to the city offices and features a pavilion, playgrounds, basketball court, softball field and outdoor pickleball courts. The park also takes care of the original cabin built by the Hogan family. The cabin was donated and moved a few times until it reached its current spot at Hogan Park.
