Pine is less common than other hardwoods, but occasionally we see it. This homeowner asked us to refinish her dark-stained pine floor and leave the color natural. The homeowner loved the finished product! See the before and after pictures below.
Some notes about Pine hardwood. Pine is a closed-grain wood. This mean if you wanted to stain Pine, we would first water pop it to open the grain for a more consistent and deeper color. The third picture below shows the wood partially coated. The left side is coated, the right side is the raw wood.
