A family had water leaking into the front room of their home. Because they had hardwood continuously throughout the main floor of their home, the insurance was obligated to repair, then refinish, all the continuous hardwood throughout.
We repaired about 100 sq ft of damaged American Cherry hardwood, then refinished the remaining 1500 sq ft of hardwood. They opted to leave it natural, without a stain, but upgraded to the commercial traffic finish. The upgrade costs for the finish came out of the homeowner’s pocket because the insurance would only cover what they originally had.
