Interesting facts about Park City, Utah
In 1870, Park City was settled as a mining community, but nearly became a ghost town due to the mines flooding from the water table.
Park City has had it’s share of struggles. In 1898 the town was nearly destroyed by a fire and in 1902 an explosion killed 34 miners.
In the 1950s, skiing became a popular sport and kept the town alive. Now its a hotspot for winter and summer activities, thus making Park City a great second home or vacation spot for many.
In addition to the vacation draw, many people call Park City their full-time home and commute to the Salt Lake Valley for work.
